Mech City: City Playset
thingiverse
Mech City is a line of 3D printable mechs, accessories, miniatures, and playsets. The Mech City Play Set features modular hex tiles in varying sizes, roads, overpasses, and buildings that can be assembled in numerous configurations. Each printed hex measures approximately 70mm (2.75 inches) across, making them quickly accumulate on a shelf. These components would work well as a miniatures game board, but you may need to experiment with scaling to find the optimal size. A quick video demonstrates the parts included in this set: Print Settings: Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer Model: Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: 15% Notes: To build the basic structure, four side.stl files are required. All components feature textured surfaces on the bed-side of the model to facilitate removal from the build plate. Consider this when printing if you encounter sticking issues with your parts. I printed all the components shown in the video using a single roll of PLA filament. To optimize material usage and print times, you may want to lower the infill or shell thickness settings. Due to my printer's size limitations, I was unable to print any hex tiles larger than the hex-2 model, leaving the bigger ones untested for now.
