10 Degree of Freedom Robotic/Bionic Hand Check out the short demo video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MENV1VUyUMc. The robotic/bionic hand is approximately 1.5 times larger than an average adult human's hand, as befits a device with "MECH" in its title. This advanced prosthetic hand features ten degrees of actuation and two degrees of actuation per finger and thumb, all powered by nine 9g servos. Users can program the hand to perform multiple gestures or hand signs, opening up a wide range of creative possibilities. The parts were designed specifically for use with 9g SG90 Microservos, but alternative servos with similar dimensions can also be used. A crucial component in the construction of this prosthetic hand is the screw post, which measures 5 mm in diameter and 16 mm in length. These posts are complemented by matching screws available on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/Aluminum-Chicago-Screws-Screw-Posts/dp/B003O9ISP8. The standard M2 and M3 screws used throughout the device can be found in most hardware stores. A comprehensive manual is included with every hand, detailing step-by-step assembly instructions complete with pictures for a smooth and trouble-free build process. Update 12/13/2019: A cosmetic back cover has been created and added to Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4047273, allowing users who have already downloaded the hand to access this new feature without needing to download the entire design again.
