100mm Turret with Meccano spaced 12.7mm/M4 mounting holes requires separate bearing for installation. Designed to work with belt drive using 100mm x 2mm O Ring for smooth operation. Spindle must be driven by a gear motor with D-shaft, which fits AliExpress motors: some filing is necessary (.1mm or so) to ensure proper fit. Bearing specifications include 35mm x 11mm dimensions and 15mm center point, sourced from AliExpress again. Printed on Shapeways twice, resulting in perfect snug fit for the top section; however, a small piece of paper or tape is required between the part and bearing for stability to spin the actual bearing instead of just spinning around the bottom. Slip Ring holder designed specifically for 12-wire slip-ring from AliExpress, including 3D model of slip ring available separately. This project was primarily created using Tinkercad for most parts, with Slip Ring and holder made in 123D.
