Revision B-3.2 of Mecanum wheel type features improvements over previous models, with its roller breaking system enhancing versatility. Despite its wide range of mobility, a downside is the loss of force in one direction when the platform travels diagonally due to rollers causing direct drag against motors. This problem can be addressed through three solutions: controlling roller spins (Mecanum wheel type B), rotating the rollers assembly arm (Mecanum wheel type R), or rotating the spoke and controlling roller spinning speed (Type BR). The main spoke rotation also mitigates issues caused by damaged or uneven rollers, but requires knowledge of how much to rotate and in which direction. Similarly, controlling roller angle and speed affects the off-course vector (OC Vector), influenced by variables like ground condition, speed, load, and contact angle. This complex system's design is Spaceclaim's specialty, with this specific model being an early revision using a hydro restriction valve to control roller spin, although it did not pass mechanical simulation stage. With 1800 parts, this real concept model offers valuable insights into the design. Enjoy! Nesher Amir
