Mecanum wheels are being designed for my DFRobot Cherokey 4WD, which utilizes the Dagu motor available at http://www.dagurobot.com/goods.php?id=167 or from SparkFun. The design requires 28 MR63ZZ bearings, 28 M3x25 capscrews, 28 m3 nuts, superglue for securing the bearings, and Plasti-Dip for coating. Additionally, four m2x10 (or m2x12 with a washer) screws are needed to attach the hubs to the motor. The design file has been modified to remove the rim text, then print 56 rollers and 4 hubs, which are mirrored. The rollers are coated with Plasti-Dip by dipping them twice with the closed end facing down, followed by drilling out the skin. Similarly, the 4 hub center screw holes have their skin drilled out. This design was remixed from gchristopher's 1203230 for the Dagu output shaft and features an eroded roller surface with a skin layer added for dipping in two layers (5/1000 inch each) of Plasti-Dip for improved grip. Printing is currently underway, and bearings are expected to be received this week. Pictures will be posted once they become available.
