Mecanum wheels, like omni wheels, are wheels that can move a robot / any object in any direction. Unlike omni wheels, mecanum wheels are all mounted facing forward, so they can still move over obstacles. They also get pushed around less than omni wheels because they have a better contact with the ground.this wheel can be used to move in any direction which overcomes the drawbacks of traditional wheel.
