Measuring Particulate Matter

thingiverse

Do you know fine dust? Fine dust consists of particulate matter known scientifically as PM. The world is blanketed with this matter. PM from China has become a significant issue, as the nation's pollution spreads globally. The primary components of yellow dust are sand and materials from the earth's crust, but industrial pollutants like mercury and cadmium have also contaminated the air due to rapid industrialization in China. The smaller, repairable portion of PM poses greater health risks. Although yellow dust originates naturally, most particulate matter is man-made. I created a PM meter because I needed to monitor my exposure. If levels are high, I'll know whether to wear a mask or take precautions.
