Dingo_aus successfully transformed the MeArm 4.0 into a printable version with impressive results. However, I found that the original files were not printer-friendly for my model. Therefore, I made some modifications to achieve better results. The changes include: I introduced a round BasePanel (BasePanel_MG90_Round.STL), specifically designed for TowerPro MG90 servos but may work for others as well. This modification significantly reduces the gap between the rotation parts. Additionally, I incorporated a Wedged Bucket part (ServoBucket_Wedged.stl) and a Wedged Claw Servo Bucket part (mearm_part8_Changed_v2.STL) to increase tolerance on the first layer height of my prints. To optimize printing efficiency, I laid out the original parts on a 20cm x 20 cm bed. Since my printer cannot handle Part 7 of Dingo_aus's integrated model, I omitted it as the motherboard (Part 26) can be printed in one piece within this print bed size. On July 1st, 2016, I discovered an exciting improvement by switching to Version 1.0 Claw units: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1654289 Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm layer height Infill: 20% Notes: By printing the Wedged side facing downwards, I achieved better initial layer height tolerance.
