Meanwell LRS-100-5 + ESP8266 Enclosure for WLED Neopixel Strips
prusaprinters

This is an enclosure designed to fit closely to a Meanwell LRS-100-5 power supply, and to house a NodeMCU Base PCB.

My objective was to have a neat, all-in-one enclosure for all I need to run the excellent WLED "Neopixel" addressable LED controller:
https://github.com/Aircoookie/WLED

The enclosure uses four M3 heat set threaded inserts to retain the lid, and a fifth is used to couple to the PSU. The type of inserts I used are shown in one of the images.

The enclosure has an aperture for a IR receiever, which WLED can make use of for IR remotes.

I have included "bunny ear" corner brims - add these on the slicer build plate aligned to the box/lid for low effort low material brims - they work great. The 3MF files should have these brims already pre-aligned.

I have remixed using the wire strain relief from this thing on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4498756 - thanks to the OP.

The model (STEP) of the LRS-100-5 is available from the meanwell site: https://www.meanwell.com/productPdf.aspx?i=411

3D models are provided as:

STLs for all parts and brims

3MF for parts + brims aligned on build plate

Print instructions

I printed with PLA @ 60mm/sec
0.28mm layer height
No supports
Used the bunny ear brims
