I needed to create a housing for a mains AC input and DC output to control the electronics on my printer enclosure. This is designed around a specific AC power socket for a NEMA 5-15P to IEC 60320 C13 cord. Outside of the power socket which has a specific opening size, you could use any kind of output cord. The provision for the voltage/ammeter was mostly for fun, but helpful for seeing how much power is being consumed.Shopping ListAC power socket. Any socket with these dimensions would work.AC power cord.DC output cord.FastenersAn assortment of button head M3 fasteners would be ideal. I used lengths that were just adequate to engage with the nuts as I didn't want to cause any electrical shorts.M3 square nuts are used as well to stuff into the bolt pockets in the design.Voltmeter/Ammeter Module. Any module with these dimensions will work.TipsSlice your own files for best results.I'm not providing a wiring schematic because I can't be responsible for how you choose to wire this. Do not attempt this unless you are experienced with working with mains voltage.
