Mean Well LRS-50-5 box and lid with 45° ventilation holes

A compact enclosure for my trusty Mean Well LRS-50-5 power supply, perfect for powering LEDs and other devices that require a reliable 5V source. I've designed two types of lids: one with carefully placed holes and one without. The lid featuring holes presents a challenge to Simplify 3D, so it's best to slice it using Ultimaker Cura instead. To ensure optimal ventilation, the holes are strategically angled at 45 degrees, allowing hot air to rise upwards while the mounting holes face downwards. However, I encountered difficulties printing the 1mm holes and opted for a 1.4mm version, which has served me well so far. I've taken care to position the mounting holes in such a way that they provide excellent support for the power supply. **2018-02-24 Update** To add a touch of elegance to my enclosure, I designed a cover that can be securely fastened over the cable outlets. The MeanWell-LRS-50-5-cover-small.stl file contains the necessary design elements for this feature. **Outer Dimensions** * Without lid: 128 x 86.6 x 36.5 mm * With lid: 128 x 86.6 x 38.5 mm **Inner Dimensions and Power Supply Placement** * Length: 105mm * Width: 82.6mm * Height: 32.4mm The walls of the enclosure are a sturdy 2mm thick, printed with a moderate infill setting. I highly recommend using 100% infill for added structural integrity, especially when tightening screws. **Printing Details** My enclosure was successfully printed on a Creality CR-10S printer. **Shopping List** To complete my project, you'll need the following items: * 2 x M12 glands (available at AliExpress) * 1 x MEAN WELL LRS-50-5 power supply (also available at AliExpress) * 4 x Wood Screws (10mm) for the lid * 2 x Wood Screws (10mm) for the PSU bracket Don't forget to source the necessary cables and components to power your devices!
