I was looking for a MeanWell LRS 350 housing for my Ender 3. My intention for priority upgrades to the Ender 3 is electrical and fire safety. One of the key plugins I wanted to use with Octoprint was the PSU Control combined with Temperature Control. Many of the youtube how-to videos demonstrate attaching a relay to the 24V supply side of the PSUs , but in each case they fit a relay switch that cannot handle the maximum potential current draw on that side of the system. My country has a 240V supply, and as such I protect the power supply with a 5 Amp fuse. This means that I can use a cheap 5Amp mains relay switch on the mains side of the PSU, controlled by by my Octopi. I have remixed the original design to: * Remove the USB port (I need an external power source for the Pi as I am switching the live) * Increase the shoulder height on the air flow slot side as the previous design had gaps in between the housing and the PSU * Remove the voltage out regulator access hole (not sure why you'd want to access this on the fly?) * Change the rectangular cable slot to a 20mm recessed circular cable slot that fits a 20mm cable gland * Add in mounting holes for a 5Amp 230V relay board * Close off the bottom screw hole. This metal part would have a direct route into the mains enclosure on the previous design and isn't earthed. It is now double insulated. I used supports at 50 degrees. They were easy enough to remove. This thing: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3313417 may come in handy for attaching it to the extruded aluminium frame. If there is any interest I can do a tutorial on mains switching using the octopi.
