A protective case for the high-performance Meade 14 mm UWA 1.25" telescope eyepiece is created with a screw-top design. The eyepiece easily fits within the case whether the rubber eye guard is extended or retracted. This protective casing is meant to be used in conjunction with lens caps in place. This durable housing was designed using DesignSpark Mechanical as part of a test run of printed threads for beginners. The goal of designing these threads was to print them without any external support material. Instructions: Print the design with no additional brim, raft, or support structures. Simply use your preferred ABS material and follow through with the printing process. I personally used Coex3D ABS while running my recently rebuilt Son of MegaMax printer at 40mm/sec and a layer height of 320 um. It took approximately 12 hours to complete the task.
