World War II German jet fighter Messerschmitt ME365 Beowulf, a nightfighter with enhanced capabilities, boasts a twin hull design and triple jet engines. The aircraft is crewed by one pilot, accompanied by a radio/radar operator/navigator/gunner. This was one of the Nazi regime's final attempts to regain air dominance over European battlefields. The Messerschmitt ME365 Beowulf utilizes the same airframe as the ME262 Schwalbe, equipped with BMW jet engines. Its primary objective was to hunt and destroy Allied bombers. With a maximum speed of 870 km/h, it outpaced the fastest Allied fighter, the P-51 Mustang, by 150 km/h.
