mdr1000x Headband Slider final Version
thingiverse
I designed this headband slider to replace the broken ones on my Sony MDR-1000x headphones. Since I had some problems with layer separation I would recommend printing the outer part with the curved surface towards the build plate as shown in the picture below. It increases the durability by a lot, but unfortunately, kind of messes up the surface on the visible side. So more cleanup is necessary. The parts are meant to be attached by the screws used in the original part. I used a hot paperclip to make the screw holes, since I had bad experiences while printing them on previous iterations. The screws are meant to go through the inner part. After attaching the inner part, the outer one can be slid on to it, while the ear piece is folded in. This slider should work on multiple Sony headphones, but since I don't own any other Sony headphones I can't try.
