MDC Roundhouse 40' Gondola Chassis

This is a replacement chassis/frame for ho scale MDC Roundouse 40' gondolas. The original frames of some of these models have been affected by zinc pest, this is a mostly drop in replacement. A cavity is included for your choice of weight. A thin steel bar weight might fit, otherwise sheet lead or Deluxe Materials Liquid Gravity would work well. This chassis is meant to fit a Kadee coupler box rather than recreate the original cast-on boxes. Some shimming of the coupler boxes or truck bolsters will likely be required to bring everything to the right height, depending on what trucks are used.
