cults3d
This is a half-scale model of the MD80 aircraft. The McDonnell Douglas MD-80 family comprises twin-engine, short to medium-range, single-aisle commercial jet airliners that evolved from the DC-9. This series can accommodate between 130 and 172 passengers depending on the variant and seating arrangement. The MD-80 family first entered commercial service on October 10, 1980 with Swissair. The lineup includes the MD-81, MD-82, MD-83, MD-87, and MD-88 models, all sharing the same fuselage length except for the shorter MD-87 model. The series was eventually succeeded in modified form by the MD-90 in 1995 and the Boeing 717 (initially known as the MD-95) in 1999.
