The original pins that held the ball return folded in place were lost on my setup after kids removed them from the chains on the frame. Furthermore, the sheet metal started to bend due to similar abuse. I sought a more convenient option than bending down and aligning two pins on the hinge. This clip attaches to the control panel's tubing and swings down to meet and clip onto the basketball hoop when folded in place. I printed it with 2 walls/shells and two top/bottom layers, using 20% infill in PETG, which provided sufficient durability. However, your mileage may vary.
