This model accurately represents the F2H Banshee, a carrier-based twin-engine jet fighter produced by McDonnell Aircraft from 1948 to 1961. It closely follows the aircraft's actual general dimensions and features intricate details in both the cockpit and exterior. Animateable landing gear, landing gear doors, control surfaces, and an openable canopy are just a few of its many functional components. Available in multiple formats, this model is ideal for Korean era projects. The package includes textures and materials for added realism. The Banshee was an improved version of the earlier FH-1 Phantom, featuring larger and more powerful Westinghouse turbojet engines. The F2H-2 model boasted detachable wingtip fuel tanks, eight underwing weapons stores, and was the second production version with 308 units built. Distinct features included four nose-mounted machine guns, an ejection seat, and enhanced cockpit systems compared to its predecessor, offering full pressurization and air conditioning.
