This near-to-scale low-poly model packs in plenty of detail despite its 15,000 polygon count. Landmark features like landing gear and doors get added functionality by remaining permanently extended, bringing a touch of realism to the design. Wrapped up in an all-white livery, this single-sheet texture is a 2048x2048 behemoth boasting razor-sharp textures and incredible realism. Built from the ground up as a twin-engine jet capable of traversing short to medium ranges with ease, this commercial airliner brings its A-game to the single-aisle market. Developed directly from the highly successful MD-80 family of aircraft, it benefits from extensive knowledge gathered from this long-running lineage. Models in this range - including the 81,82, and 83 variants – share identical fuselage sizes, but each sports unique operational ranges making them more efficient at different stages of flight. While other MD models may seem similar in name or features, the family tree diverges in functionality: the MD-87 comes out on top with a significantly shorter fuselage, seating up to 133 single-class passengers – less than the capacity seen in its full siblings (177 maximum). Interestingly enough, later iterations led to Boeing acquiring and refining their line, developing it further as the iconic 717. Taking off into commercial use in 1980 and never faltering, MD-80s can now be spotted in skies across the world, effortlessly shuttling anywhere between 130-177 eager passengers on any given flight.
