Designed for maximum capacity of up to 172 passengers, it took flight for the first time in 1993 and was launched with Delta Airlines in 1995. As the longest model in the series at an overall length of 152 feet 7 inches, it came in two versions - MD-90-30 and MD-90-30ER (extended range). Out of 116 units built, these versatile aircraft have been flown by airlines, charter, and cargo carriers worldwide.
