Available in various formats, this model represents the MD-90, a longer fuselage version of the MD-80s class jet commercial airliners. Designed for maximum capacity of up to 172 passengers, it took its maiden flight in 1993 and was introduced with Delta Airlines in 1995. As the longest model in the series at 152 feet 7 inches, it came in two variants: MD-90-30 and MD-90-30ER (extended range). A total of 116 were constructed and have been flown by numerous airlines, charter, and cargo carriers worldwide.
