MC² Hexagon Mount with fan-ducts
thingiverse
I wanted to upgrade the MC²-Printer (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1017799). As I encountered numerous problems getting the Huxley-style hot-end to function, I decided to integrate my preferred hot end - the Hexagon. Thanks go out to Andreas Thorn for his meticulously detailed Hexagon-Model! This is a 1:1 replacement that eliminates the Huxley, offering fan ducts for both the hot-end tip and the hot end heat sink. Here's how it looks in an MC² (http://www.thingiverse.com/make:263764). Print Settings Printer: MC², Hexagon Hot-End Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 10% Notes: Printed this with PLA at 100mm/s. Hot-End 230°C No heated bed is available yet. The picture shows a first attempt using the MC². Due to difficulties setting it up, my initial part came out mirrored. Still in use as it doesn't matter ;-)
