I'm Working On A 3D Print Windmill And Wind Tunnel Models. These Are Results Of Testing Done In June 2014 Till October 2015. October 11, 2015, Updated The Files With A Better Printable Model And Shell Version Showing Possible Wings Ranges. Print Settings Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: Less Than Or Equal To 0.2 Mm Infill: Yes Notes: The Mill Is Difficult To Print In ABS Or PLA; Set Support At 45 Degrees For Best Results. Post-Printing A Small 7-Cm Diameter Version Is Available. Designing This Windmill Involved Experience With Kites And Other Hobbies Like Windsurfing. Mc Escher's Spheres Also Inspired Me, As Well As Bio-Metric Design And The 3D Printing Revolution. Using A Mathematical Spiral Formula And Shaping Wings Diversely Helped It Blend In More Naturally With Nature. Initial Results Showed A 30-Cm Diameter Windmill Generating Electricity At Over 3 Bf, Enough To Load A Smartphone Battery For Example. Two Nails Without Heads Are Used Tightly Fitting In Holes To Make The Mill Rotate Freely. A Drip Of Oil Keeps It Moving Smoothly. I'll Post An E-Motor Mount Version Soon.
