MBS All Terrain Skate Wheel Conversion Kit for Boosted Boards V2
thingiverse
This design includes a gear pulley for mounting "All Terrain" longboard wheels from MBS to a Boosted Boards V2 electric skateboard, and a replacement belt cover cap that provides more clearance for the larger gear. You will also need 2 of this belt: Gates 255-3MGT-15, and 2 of this bearing: B6903ZZ. It's probably wise to pick up a set of standard skate bearings and spacers too, so you don't have to swap that between sets of wheels when you switch from stock wheels to AT and vice versa. For the other hardware (axle nuts, speed rings, washers, cap mount screws) you can reuse the stock hardware. We created this design for R&D purposes, but we've decided not to pursue it further. This design is a working prototype, but it cannot be guaranteed that a 3D printed gear hub can handle the torque of real-world riding for very long, or that a 3D printed belt cover will survive rocks, debris, or other impacts. Print, assemble, and test at your own risk. Please exercise caution. Always wear a helmet when riding. Our prototypes are printed in ABS with 100% infill. If you print the gear as is, you won't need supports, but it may be difficult to remove from the print bed. I recommend trying it upside down with supports. The belt cover cap requires supports.
