I designed a custom pair of stands to securely hold my ASUS MB168B LCD Monitor on my desk, replacing the cumbersome folding travel stand that took up too much space. The new stands measure approximately 0.5 inches wide x 1 inch tall x 3 inches long and were crafted with careful attention to detail. To maximize desk space, I initially designed them smaller, but unfortunately, they became unstable and prone to tipping over. To address this issue, I adjusted the design by printing them with a floor and ceiling thickness of 0mm, allowing the hexagonal infill pattern to be visible underneath. The entire design process was carried out within Autodesk Fusion 360, marking my first successful creation from scratch to final 3D part. The result exceeded my expectations, offering a sturdy and functional solution for holding my monitor in place. Printer Settings: * Printer Brand: MakerBot * Printer Model: MakerBot Replicator (5th Generation) * Rafts: Yes * Supports: No * Resolution: 0.12mm * Infill: 15% * Notes: A floor and ceiling thickness of 0mm was chosen to showcase the infill, while a 15% infill density was selected for added visual interest; 10% infill appeared too sparse.
