I imported the C-Duct stl file from CFD Optimized Replicator2 Active Cooling Fan Duct by Prot0typ1cal, thing 3141321 into Sketchup Free. Edit... I just noticed that my heat block was turned the other way compared to the original pictures from Prot0typ1cal's machine. If you look from the front, my heat element was on the left. Shit quality grey prints... default settings on MakerBot Mini. SketchUp Solids Inspector and Item info does not show it as a Solid Object, but it does seem to Print OK. I remixed this because my Replicator2 is an early type that does not have the spring in the X-Axis End Stop Switch. This was mentioned as a problem in the text by the original author of this duct. The Original design of the fan duct stuck out beyond the Print head carriage so would not allow the carriage to hit the end stop switch. Yes, a solution of putting 'puck' on the side of the head can be used, but not a 'neat' solution. I wanted the duct to just fit without needing the puck. So this one clips inside of the carriage rather than the outside. The Original file is C-Duct.stl. That is the one I imported. The import to SKP, manipulation and re-export as an STL has caused massive file size increase. If the original (far more technically able) creator could sort this, incorporating my mounting modifications that would be great.
