I'm captivated by sharp-cornered geometric patterns and Celtic knotwork has me enthralled. Mazes, with their striking contrasts and geometry, have a hold on me that just won't let go. So I created this pencil holder for my desk. Each side is identical, though mirrored on two sides, and the entrances and exits for the maze match those on the adjacent sides perfectly. I designed a small recess for that spot that needs a bit of minimal post-production removal with a craft knife. I printed mine all in one piece from 3DSolutech's Blue PLA without supports, using 30% infill at .3 layer height. It took around 11 hours to complete. Then, I used a sponge brush to apply white acrylic paint to the surface of the mazes, bringing out their intricate details.
