The stock speakers in a CX-5 are terrible and so I instantly opted to replace them. I purchased Skar 200 W 6.5" speakers from amazon and made custom mounts for them since the stock speakers are mounts and speakers combined. Fit fantastic but you will need small sheet metal screws to combine the mount with the speaker itself. I have little pilot holes in the mount as well.
