Mazda 3 Shift Knob
thingiverse
My 2007 Mazda 3's shift knob broke, so instead of buying a new one, I made my own simple one. The picture shows the knob not screwed all the way in; it goes down to the boot. I was concerned about printing this upright with support, but it worked perfectly fine. Since then, I've printed it upright without any supports, so you can do whatever works best for your specific printer. The thread on it is M10x1.25, making it suitable for any shifter with that thread size - not just my Mazda 3. It took some effort to twist it on, but I prefer that, as it ensures the knob won't come loose while driving. I printed mine with a higher infill than usual (35% vs 10%), considering the force applied to the center thread/core when shifting. This gave it extra robustness while driving. At least one person might find this useful; it's my first upload to Thingiverse. Enjoy.
