This star-shaped club belongs to the Inca cultural period. Made of bronze (an alloy of copper and tin), it is part of a collection of heritage items confiscated by Customs and PDI at the Chilean-Peruvian border. Pieces like this are almost entirely absent in the Tarapacá region, and correspond to contexts unique to Peru. Associated with funeral offerings and contexts such as military confrontations in the ancient Tawantinsuyo, the Inca domain in Peru. Its sharp projections from the central ring define it as an attack weapon. Its metal construction gives it significant weight, which characterizes it as a club. It belongs therefore to the heavy section of the arm, composed of a stick or handle to grasp it. It has a written inventory number with black ink, outside the norm, which must be carefully removed, and the cataloging number inscribed without damaging or excessive extension.
