Maylan M200 Tower Grommet
thingiverse
I'm relatively new to the 3D printing scene. Recently, I encountered a problem while making bowden tube clips for my Maylan M200. One of them slipped down into the tower's top hole and vanished. In response, I realized that the printer needed a cap over the opening. However, I couldn't find any existing solutions. I stumbled upon the Customizable Oval Grommet by forswear_fopdoodle on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2820714 and decided to remix it for my needs. To make it more practical, I added a top and cutouts for wires. After several attempts, the fifth print finally fit perfectly onto the M200. However, another challenge arose when I tried to install it on my MPSMv2 - a screw obstructed the grommet's edge. To resolve this issue, I simply sanded down the screw to accommodate the grommet's new shape and prepared for further testing. Since this is my very first post here, I'd appreciate any feedback regarding whether or not my approach was correct.\r\n\r\nEdit 3/21/2018: I've uploaded version three of the design, which has been slightly enlarged to ensure a better fit within the hole.
