Mayan Sculpture (Statue 3D Scan)

Mayan Sculpture (Statue 3D Scan)

cults3d

This is a 3D scanned model of a possibly Mayan sculpture that I discovered at the 123D Catch models website, where unfortunately there wasn't much information available but I'm guessing it's from the Advanced Visualization Center at the University of South Florida. They have Maya 3D scans for students, which sounds pretty cool. I utilized MeshMixer once again to plane-cut the surroundings and create a flat bottom surface for 3D printing purposes, and then scaled it up to a height of 125 mm. There is an STL file available along with a color model (zipped). The original scan can be found here: http://www.123dapp.com/catch/USF-Museum-Visualizations/3382857 http://www.3dwp.nl
