sketchfab
This bowl is an Ixcanrio Orange Polychrome pedestal, originating from AD 250 to 300. It was unearthed alongside a primary individual in a crypt at Chan Chich's Upper Plaza in Western Belize. The person was buried with Spondylus shell ear ornaments and a serpentine bib-helmet pendant. Artifacts of this type are often linked to rulership, suggesting the individual may have held high status. Further excavation revealed partial remains of two additional individuals within the crypt.
