OpenLOCK IC-secondary-wall-low piece in hand, I embarked on a mission to create the elusive IC tile from scratch. With no existing examples to guide me, I turned to my trusty Python script running within Blender's engine. This ingenious tool enabled me to craft Mayan-inspired squarish blocks with ease, quickly adapting to any shape or design. Drawing inspiration from the "Wang tiles" method, I carefully arranged the bricks to achieve a visually striking pattern. To add an extra layer of depth and visual interest, I applied Voronoi and Musgrave noise to each individual brick. The result is a unique and captivating texture that invites exploration. Future endeavors will focus on refining this design by introducing varied noise parameters per-brick, experimenting with different brick depths, adjusting the curvature of brick corners, and incorporating subtle cracks for added realism.
