Maya Preclassic Incised Spouted Vessel
sketchfab
Incised vessel with handle from the Preclassic Maya site of Colha, Belize, colloquially referred to as a chocolate pot. Spouts on these vessels are not believed to have been used for pouring, but rather for introducing air into chocolate drinks to create froth. The 3D model was created using Agisoft Metashape by myself and is courtesy of the Colha Project and Fred Valdez, Jr. This model's release is part of an effort to make cultural heritage more widely accessible, aligning with one of my undergraduate Honors Thesis goals, available at https://repositories.lib.utexas.edu/handle/2152/74543
