The massive mastodon skull, fondly referred to as Max, takes center stage at the Western Science Center in Hemet, California. It was meticulously scanned three-dimensionally using a Structure Scanner attached to an iPad Mini 4 during the Valley of the Mastodons workshop and conference held in August 2017.
