The Coney Island Scan-A-Rama is a 21st century portrait studio that uses advanced technology such as ReconstructMe and an Xbox Kinect for scanning at events like Danbury Makerfaire. The debut of its new scanning rig, the Scan-O-Tron 3000, took place on June 8, 2013, resulting in beautiful scans. A Kickstarter campaign is planned to open source the project's plans and more information about the studio or ordering prints can be found at http://www.thegreatfredini.com/scan-a-rama. For perfect prints, it is recommended to print at .27 or .1 mm layer height with no support, as some trimming may be needed.
