Max's Coffee Filter Holder (Chemex / Melitta, Napkins)
thingiverse
A friend asked me to print a filter holder he found online, but I decided not to use the original design. Instead, I created my own version that I liked better. I aimed to make it lightweight and use as little filament as possible. The design is centered around 15x15cm filters and Melitta filters, but you can put anything on it - even napkins work! Chris deserves credit for taking great pictures of the project. If you have any comments or suggestions, feel free to let me know! Print Settings: Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: Prusa Mk2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: No Notes: I used PLA for this print and added a brim to secure it (3x1 layers). The model has 5 bottom layers and 3 top layers. To minimize empty coasting, I adjusted my retraction settings accordingly. The design is intended to be printed with no supports at all. I made sure the angles were suitable for this purpose. I used AIO's white PLA at 205c, a bed temperature of 65c, and an extrusion multiplier of 1.06. The print took about three hours to complete.
