Max's 100 round .22 LR Caliber Ammo Box
cults3d
Update: 7/27/2018: I added a 'short' version of the 100th box, which measures only 147mm in length. I'm currently working on a 50th version of it. Please scale up your prints by 2-4% (102-104%) and check your print settings, especially if you're using materials that tend to shrink or warp badly. This will ensure a good fit. *** Important: You are purchasing this design for personal use only, as the intellectual property is protected by the Creative Commons license. I searched for .22LR ammo boxes and found some great designs, but none that met my expectations. EvolvingExtrusions' design was one of the best I saw - I liked its general concept and appearance, but wanted to pack it into a smaller box. I also needed a system that would allow me to easily load 10 rounds at a time, with features like locking, stacking, and being lightweight. So, I gave it a try using Fusion 360. The hex approach seemed perfect. After measuring everything carefully to find the right balance between sturdiness, usability, and size, I came up with this design after nine prototypes. I hope you like it! Please share your thoughts in the comments - especially any improvement ideas! Max. PS: Yes, that gun in the picture is not a .22LR. It's an HK VP9. I was too lazy to grab my .22LR.
