Mavic Mini Folding Propeller
thingiverse
This propeller is designed specifically for the DJI Mavic Mini and was successfully flown on that platform. I produced the propellers using a SLA printer, taking care to ensure that the trailing edge is precisely 0.2mm thick. This means you should avoid using a nozzle diameter larger than 0.2mm when printing with FDM without adjusting the perimeter offset. Upon measuring the stock propellers' hovering RPM, I recorded approximately 9500 rpm using a tachometer. The original propeller diameter of the stock propeller is 120mm, which will be increased to around 121mm when mounted on the standard motors. These motors position the axis of folding rotation 5mm from the propellers' thrusting axis of rotation. Given these conditions, I designed this propeller to achieve a similar RPM and generate 250/4 grams of thrust, thereby ensuring the motor remains well-matched to the propeller. I have yet to conduct thorough tests on the motor, considering factors such as KV and voltage in the propeller design. This propeller features a triple variable airfoil design. The folding propeller mounting system is quite impressive, offering lightness, simplicity, and minimal risk of error. Although it likely has its limitations, this design is hard to mess up. Unfortunately, the custom screws present a challenge.
