Maverick Precision Extension Tube Storage Caps
thingiverse
I was looking around for a way to retain the contents of my Maverick Precision Merlin and Raven/Phoenix Extensions when they weren't in use. With the endcap removed and used on the base tube there was nothing keeping the internals of the extension from falling out. I modelled a male endcap that threads into the distal end of the Merlin extension as well as one that fits the Raven/Phoenix extension. I also made a female threaded cap for each to protect the bare threads of the extension when it's in storage. When not in use, the male and female storage caps can be threaded together to keep them together. I tinkered around with the threading until I found something that fits my needs. The fit is a bit sloppy but that's what I wanted. I would not expect them to fit so well as to retain pressure or be water tight. I used 1.25x24 scaled up on X and Y by 103.5% for the male Merlin cap. I used 1.25x24 scaled up on X and Y by 106% for the female Merlin cap. I used 1.375x24 scaled up on X and Y by 102.5% for the male Raven/Phoenix cap. I used 1.375x24 scaled up on X and Y by 105% for the female Raven/Phoenix cap.
