Maverick ET73 Barbecue Thermometer Stand

Maverick ET73 Barbecue Thermometer Stand

thingiverse

This is a basic holder for a Maverick ET73 barbecue dual probe thermometer. It will fit other Maverick thermometers as well, provided they are approximately 0.78 inches thick, 2.37 inches wide, 3.93 inches high, with a curved bottom and a slightly curved face. The sketchup file is included, in case you wish to make modifications. This holder is designed as two parts, a socket for the thermometer's base and an angled stand. I printed it in ABS and used a mixture of acetone and ABS scraps as adhesive to join them together. This approach enables different sections to be optimized to avoid supports, and also allows choosing orientations for maximum strength. I printed on a Flashforge Creator Pro using Simplify3D as the slicer. The factory file from Simplify is included in the uploaded files. Printing is straightforward: just about any resolution works fine, with no raft or supports required. I ran the first layer at 140% width because of the stand's narrow footprint on the print bed, and printed it slowly to start.
