Matterhorn Candle Mold

Matterhorn Candle Mold

thingiverse

Currently crafting custom candle molds for a unique design project. This is my initial prototype. Demolding was successful without any issues, despite not using vaseline or oil on the molds. I printed the design at varying resolutions - 0.3 mm and 0.1 mm - but prefer the 0.3 mm resolution because it showcases the layering effect. If you want a smooth surface, try printing at a higher resolution. Here's how to proceed: For detailed instructions on pouring candle wax, search online for tutorials or guides. If you're proficient in German, I recommend this comprehensive guide from Hongler-Kerzen: https://www.hongler-kerzen.ch/media/pdf/e4/a3/6d/Hongler_Anleitung_Kerzen_giessen.pdf. You can secure the mold with clamps or M4 screws for added stability. Once the candle has cooled (preferably overnight), the molds may stick together slightly. To separate them, simply insert a knife and twist it gently; they should come apart easily.
