MatterHackers Spool Drawers
prusaprinters

This is a design for drawers that fit in the MatterHackers build series spools.

I designed them to save as much plastic as possible.

It comes with 2 hole guides. One is placed on top of the spool to align the top holes. The other is lined up with the top holes to drill the holes on the bottom.

Use a 3mm or 7/64 drill bit.

I use 3mm screws in the guides to help keep everything aligned.

The build does need 3mm pegs of some kind, 3mm screws or rod work great. You can also cut the heads off of nails. The pegs need to be about 14mm long to bottom out and still contact the spool.

If you want to stack the spools, just make the pegs about 25mm long so that they connect both of the spools.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

I3 MK3S

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

3

Infill:

20%

Filament: matterhackers pla Black

Notes:

Print settings shouldn't matter too much. .2 or .3mm layers work great with a .4mm nozzle. Large nozzles might have problems with the thin walls.

Category: Containers
