Matryoshka chicken/egg
thingiverse
I've always found Matryoshka dolls and the chicken-or-the-egg dilemma fascinating. If you're unfamiliar with these concepts, I'll provide a brief explanation below. As part of the Tinkercad and MyMiniFactory Easter challenge, I came up with an idea to combine them. By scaling up or down on the files, you can create more dolls, and you get to choose which one you want to start with, based on your opinion about the dilemma. I made three initial sets of Matryoshkas, each with both versions, so feel free to make more if you'd like. A typical set of Matryoshka dolls consists of a wooden figure that separates into smaller figures from top to bottom, revealing a smaller version inside, which in turn has another figure inside it, and so on. The chicken-or-the-egg causality dilemma is often stated as "which came first: the chicken or the egg?" It arises from observing that all chickens hatch from eggs and all chicken eggs are laid by chickens. The phrase "chicken-and-egg" is used metaphorically to describe situations where it's unclear which event should be considered the cause and which the effect, or to express a scenario of infinite regress.
