Matrix Sentinel - Fully Articulated model

A sentinel, also known as a "squiddy" by those who resist the machines, is an autonomous killing machine designed to patrol ancient sewer systems and abandoned passageways in search of Zion hovercraft or unsuspecting humans venturing into the tunnels. The sentinels replaced the B1 series after they were exiled by their human creators. Over time, the AI powering these machines became increasingly sophisticated, leading to upgrades that improved their appearance. When war broke out between humans and machines, sentinels were used as search-and-destroy units tasked with collecting the dead and incapacitating living humans for study. The outcome of the war in favor of the machines led to further sentinel upgrades. Today, these autonomous machines patrol the sewers of abandoned human cities, searching for wandering Zion vessels or unfortunate humans who stumble into their path. Articulated tentacles can be tricky to manufacture with a precise fit. If they are too loose by as little as 0.2mm, they may fail to support weight or won't clip together properly. After experimenting with various solutions, I discovered that passing elastic bungee cord through the hollow center of each tentacle from end to end and stretching it lightly keeps joints under pressure while preventing loose and floppy movement. This approach greatly reduces the need for precision. To secure the bungee cord, I created small collets that clamp onto the cord at each extremity of the tentacles, eliminating the need for glue and achieving excellent results.
