Matrix Core from Deep Rock Galactic
thingiverse
This is a Matrix Core from the game Deep Rock Galactic. I modeled it based on a few rough reference photos and it is fully 3D printed. It has screw on dials so that the colour of the buttons can be changed. The Overclock image is a printed and laminated piece of paper that slots in on the side and is held in place by a slight overhang around the screen. There is a storage compartment in the back that can fit many additional OCs that you can print to swap out to any, as well as the additional dials. The core prints in a number of pieces that i will go over the setting i recomend using: The top piece which is the largest is the most important to print correctly. I used 0.2mm and 20% infill and printed it with the screen facing down. I used the "supports everywhere" feature on Prusa Slicer which i recomend. It is important that the screen slit, and notches for the back lid, as well as the screw and pin holes print correctly. The bottom piece with the 3 dials i printed at 0.2mm, 20% infill and also with supports everywhere so that the screw is accurate. The back lid i used the same settings but it wont need supports The 5 dials I printed at 0.15mm with 100% infill without supports. The thread on the inside should easily go onto the body without much resistance. The pins are also 100% infill but with 0.2mm layer height. The pins have almost no tolerance so the fit will be very tight. It is intended to be superglued together. Lastly the screw that holds the back lid in place i would recoment 0.1mm layer height, but it is not necesarry for the lid to stay in place. The OC images are linked to a google drive folder individually. I have not done all of them because there are like a hundred, so if you want to add more then you would have to make them yourself. I used illustrator to make them, which I have no clue how to use to they may be a bit janky. If you think you can do better, or want help making your own please message me because I would love to help. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1T9DEKxjjqNCgZi3paXQch8sfxD3dce-t?usp=share_link If you have any questions, please message me!
