Matrice 100 Delivery container
grabcad
The key aim behind this undertaking was to design a delivery drone container that mimics real-life functionality as closely as possible. For that reason, I selected the Matrice 100 framework since all relevant CAD files are easily accessible online and it boasts excellent reliability. Drawing from its rugged structure served as a solid reference point for kick-starting my design process. The underlying idea behind my innovative drone concept lies in supplying critical goods to isolated regions without requiring an actual landing. Each unit I designed is fitted with ingenious escape mechanisms capable of propelling payloads out of the aircraft via advanced parachute systems or precision mechanical winches, all in an effort to deliver packages securely onto solid ground. What truly makes this delivery approach revolutionary is that it efficiently minimizes energy consumption by optimizing flight missions on demand. Comprised of 5 key components: top plate, the main body's streamlined silhouette, inner mesh reinforcements to shield contents during transit and secure escape doors facilitating package releases from beneath. By integrating a simple and accessible packaging system into my drone, I aimed to enhance mission readiness while prioritizing real-world usability – unclipping 2 easy latches on the top surface allows users to quickly slide in their supplies, resecure the assembly by snapping the primary housing onto the cover, prepare for departure, and when airborne, remote controls give the operator total freedom to activate either parachute system or mechanical winch.
