Matkachi, the fearless heroine from Isoun: The Hunt, was meticulously crafted with a deep respect for the indigenous Ainu people of Japan. Her striking appearance draws inspiration from their rich cultural heritage, evident in the intricate patterns adorning her cloak. I had the privilege of designing the captivating design on her cloak, but it's rooted in the timeless masterpieces created by Ainu artists, whose work is highly valued and sought after. With her trusty magical daggers at her side, Matkachi can unleash a variety of powerful glyphs that leave a lasting impact. The detailed models and textures of these enchanted blades were skillfully crafted by my talented teammate Lawson Coleman, whose exceptional skills are showcased on his website lawson.artstation.com.
